FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about Scribe Animator.
Is Scribe Animator browser-based?
Yes. Scribe Animator runs in your browser—no software download needed. Most editing and previewing happens locally on your device, so it feels fast and private. Read the product overview for the complete workflow and current boundaries.
Are exports unlimited?
Yes. Export count is unlimited on both Free and Pro. The plans differ in available export quality, watermark, cloud storage, and other plan features—not in how many videos you can export. The export guide explains formats, quality, and validation.
Is sign-up required?
Sign-up is not required to try the editor and test exports. Sign-up is required if you want to save projects, sync assets to the cloud, or use paid features.
Which browser and operating system does it support?
Scribe Animator works on all major browsers and operating systems. For the best export reliability, we recommend using Chrome or Microsoft Edge—exports can be more challenging on Safari and Firefox depending on device and browser settings.
Can Scribe Animator record my screen?
Yes, in the Desktop web editor when the browser provides screen-capture and recording APIs. You can record a tab, window, or full screen in steps; each accepted step becomes an editable scene. The browser owns the source chooser, microphone is optional, and shared audio varies by browser and source. Explore Screen Recording for editable tutorial videos or follow the complete recording guide.
What are StoryBeats?
StoryBeats are scene-local narrative timing metadata. One beat can reference the objects, Draw Steps, property keys, camera keys, and optional narration that belong to the same idea, so supported moves preserve their authored timing relationships. They do not physically group canvas objects or store animation values. Learn how to organize explainer timing with StoryBeats.
Can AI agents edit a Scribe Animator project?
Yes, when Scribe is open in a compatible WebMCP client. The agent uses semantic Site tools against the visible project; normal authentication, plan limits, locks, validation, and supported Undo remain in force. Scribe does not host the LLM, and protected choices such as local files, recording sources, credentials, and purchases stay under your control. Read about AI-assisted editing through WebMCP or start the Site tools quickstart.
Which devices does it support?
Scribe Animator supports desktop editing plus Mobile Lite on iOS, Android, and mobile web. Mobile Lite concentrates the most useful touch workflows at app.scribeanimator.com/m; see the Mobile Lite guide for current capabilities and desktop differences.
Which currencies and countries do you support right now?

- AUD (Australia)
- CAD (Canada)
- EUR (Eurozone)
- GBP (United Kingdom)
- INR (India)

Why is pricing lower than other whiteboard animation tools?
We keep costs low by doing most rendering in the browser instead of running heavy export servers. Paid plans help us cover ongoing costs like cloud storage (projects/assets), premium templates, and support.
What’s included in paid plans?
Current Pro benefits include:
- Unlimited exports up to 1080p
- No watermark
- 5 GB of cloud storage for projects and assets
- Access to the SVG cloud library
Do you have an annual plan?
